Retreat Policies & Agreements

These policies are here to protect you, the group, and the experience we’re creating together. Please read this page carefully before registering for the Northern California Retreat at Straus Home Ranch & BayMod, April 23–26, 2026. By completing your retreat registration, you agree to the terms below. If anything is unclear, please feel free to reach out with questions before booking. Here are our policies at a glance:

  • A 30% deposit reserves your spot and is nonrefundable.

  • The remaining balance is due by April 1, 2026.

  • Payments are only refundable if we’re able to fill your spot.

  • If we cancel due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund including deposit.

  • If we must cancel or reschedule due to events outside our control, your payments roll forward to a future retreat date.

  • You are responsible for your own travel, insurance, and health needs.

  • Shared rooms mean sharing a room (and sometimes a bed) with another participant.

  • We reserve the right to remove someone for unsafe or disruptive behavior without refund.

Detailed Retreat Policies & Agreements

  • This retreat includes yoga, meditation, walking, and time outdoors. By joining us, you agree to:

    • Listen to your body and modify or rest as needed

    • Let us know about any injuries or conditions that may affect your participation

    • Understand that we are not medical providers and do not offer medical advice; you are responsible for consulting your physician about your ability to safely participate

    • Take responsibility for your own physical, emotional, and mental well-being

You understand that all movement and outdoor activities carry some risk.

By registering, you agree to release and hold harmless Tereza Dvorak Yoga LLC, its facilitators, and venue partners from liability for injury, illness, or loss arising from ordinary negligence, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

  • A 30% deposit is required to reserve your spot. This deposit is nonrefundable for any reason.

If you need to cancel, your payments (beyond the deposit) may be refunded only if we or you are able to fill your spot. This includes cancellations due to illness or unforeseen changes in your schedule.

    No refunds are offered for:

    • Late arrival

    • Early departure

    • Missed meals, classes, or activities by choice or circumstance

    If we need to cancel:

    • Low enrollment: You receive a full refund of all payments made.

    • Events outside our control (e.g., natural disaster, venue issue, public health emergency), payments become nonrefundable but will be applied to a rescheduled retreat date. If you cannot attend the new date, you may use travel insurance (if purchased) to seek reimbursement.

    • By registering, you agree not to initiate a credit card chargeback. All refund requests must follow the policies on this page. Chargebacks filed in violation of this policy will be considered breach of contract.

  • If you choose the Deposit Only option:

    • You will receive a monthly invoice that breaks up your remaining balance for the retreat into equal portions.

    • All payments for the retreat are due by April 1, 2026.

    • All payments made toward your balance are subject to the refund policy above.

    Late or missed payments:

    • May result in your spot being released without refund if full balance is not paid by April 1, 2026

By choosing a payment plan, you are committing to the full retreat tuition by April 1, 2026.

  • We offer both single rooms and shared rooms (shared queen bed or two twin beds).

By booking a shared option, you acknowledge:

    • You are comfortable sharing space (and, for shared queen options, a bed) with another participant

    • We recommend signing up with a friend; we honor requests for specific roommates for shared queen beds.

    • While we do our best to thoughtfully pair roommates that do not know each other prior to the retreat, we cannot guarantee a perfect match.

    Roommate & refund notes:

    • No refunds are given due to roommate mismatch, snoring, schedule differences, etc.

    • If significant issues arise, we will support conversation and reasonable adjustments when possible, but alternative room options cannot be guaranteed once the retreat is full.

  • To protect the group and vendors:

    • Please do not attend if you are experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness or have been advised not to travel.

    • If you become ill before or during the retreat, no refunds are available

    • Any additional lodging, travel changes, or medical costs are your responsibility.

This is one of the reasons we strongly recommend travel insurance.

  • You are responsible for:

    • Booking and paying for your travel to and from the retreat

    • Any additional nights or personal travel before/after the retreat

    • If a participant chooses to leave the retreat early for any reason, they are responsible for all additional travel, transportation, or lodging costs.

    • Your own health and travel insurance

We strongly recommend travel insurance, ideally with Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage, which can help protect your investment in case of:

    • Illness before or during the retreat

    • Flight cancellations or delays

    • Lost or delayed luggage

    • Weather or other unexpected disruptions

We do not offer refunds for travel-related issues.

  • Some optional activities (e.g., massage, local excursions, bodywork) may be offered by third-party providers.

    • These are not operated or supervised by us.

    • You participate in them at your own discretion.

    • We are not liable for any outcomes or services provided by third parties.

  • This retreat is intentionally designed as a space of rest, reflection, and connection.

    By joining, you agree to:

    • Treat fellow participants, staff, and the land with respect.

    • Honor group confidentiality and personal boundaries.

    • Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior.

    • Follow venue guidelines (quiet hours, shared spaces, etc.)

    • Use alcohol or substances responsibly and never in a way that endangers yourself or others.

    • Observe quiet hours beginning at 10 pm to support rest and respect for our hosts and the surrounding community.

    • Move with care and respect for the land, including staying on designated paths and following any posted guidelines.

    • We occasionally take photos and video for marketing purposes. By attending, you grant permission for your image to be used unless you request otherwise in writing before the retreat.

We reserve the right to ask a participant to leave the retreat without refund if their behavior is unsafe, harmful, or significantly disruptive to the group.

  • To the fullest extent allowed by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tereza Dvorak Yoga LLC, its owners, facilitators, assistants, and partners from any claims, demands, or expenses arising from your participation in the retreat, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

By completing your retreat registration and submitting payment, you confirm that you have read and understood these policies, agree to be bound by the retreat contract and policies, and confirm that you are able to participate in the retreat safely and responsibly.
